Environmental Policy
Last updated: December 2025
SecureID Print Ltd recognises its responsibility to minimise environmental impact as a printing business. We are committed to reducing waste, improving material sustainability and promoting responsible production across all ID card, badge and accessory manufacturing processes.
1. Commitment to Sustainability
We continuously work to operate in an environmentally conscious manner. Our goals are to minimise waste, reduce plastic output where possible and make smart choices in relation to materials, suppliers, and production efficiency.
We aim to improve year-on-year through measurable actions rather than statements alone.
2. Materials & Product Responsibility
- Where commercially available, we use eco-friendly or recyclable card stock and accessories.
- We evaluate suppliers based on material quality, sustainability credentials and carbon impact.
- Lanyards, holders, and print accessories are sourced with durability in mind to reduce waste.
- Packaging is selected to minimise unnecessary plastic and maximise recyclable content.
3. Waste Reduction & Recycling
- All production offcuts (PVC, card trims) are recycled or disposed of responsibly.
- Packaging such as cardboard, labels and shipping materials are reused where safe and suitable.
- Digital proofing is used to reduce physical waste during artwork approval.
- Ink usage is optimised to reduce environmental waste without compromising print quality.
4. Energy & Print Efficiency
- Print equipment is maintained for efficiency to reduce wasted prints and energy consumption.
- Machines and lighting are powered down when not in use to minimise electricity use.
- Batch production is used where possible to reduce unnecessary setup cycles and waste.
5. Shipping, Packaging & Carbon Awareness
- We use Royal Mail Tracked services, reducing unnecessary van mileage and fuel emissions compared to independent courier routing.
- Orders are packed compactly to reduce space, packaging volume and transport load.
- Materials are recycled or disposed of responsibly after product completion.
6. Supplier & Product Lifecycle Responsibility
- Suppliers are selected based on sustainability standards where possible.
- We evaluate product lifecycle impact and choose longer-lasting goods to reduce replacement frequency.
- As an ongoing commitment, alternative recyclable ID card options will be reviewed annually.
7. Customer Responsibility & Awareness
Customers are encouraged to recycle packaging wherever suitable, and to reuse card holders and lanyards rather than dispose of them prematurely.
8. Continuous Improvement
- This policy will be reviewed annually to reflect new materials, technology and environmental standards.
- We actively seek new sustainable alternatives to improve product and print impact.
Our goal is practical sustainability — real improvements, not greenwashing.
